I'm 24 and graduated college last year. I only have a bank of america credit card. The limit is $3000/month. I also only have a bank of america student checking account that i opened 4-5 years ago and i still use it. I know credit cards have those high interest rates but are those rates only if you don't pay your bill on time? I never understood what it meant by credit card and high interest rates. I never had to pay any fees with bank of america when using their credit card. I still receive those mails from chase, discover, citibank etc asking me to sign up for credit card and low apy fees. I wouldn't mind getting another credit card because of my $3000 limit with BoA. Last time i asked for a limit increase but i told them i had no job and they said they couldn't increase it because of that reason. Would it be a good idea to get more credit cards? I don't usually spend that much money per month but there were a few times where i hit my limit for the month and couldn't spend anymore money on my credit card. If i sign up for a chase or citibank credit card, would it cost me anything if i use the card rarely? Also, if i have a credit card with chase, citibank, that means i would have to get a checking account with them correct to pay the credit card bill online? I pay all my credit card charges using online banking with bank of america.

For some time now, I had been looking at subaru imprezas, of which I love. However, each insurance quote I got from my parents was something like 3400 a year under my dad, and close to 8,000 a year under my own policy, with collision, so my parents wouldnt even consider it. The quote was for an 04, so if it is that insane I dont see how some kids own 03s, 04s, even a few 07s, as my parents arent poor by any means, and I know all the other kids do not have rich parents. So I go to the left and the left and gas it a little bit, I was going like 10 mph as I was taking off, and the light turns yellow, I cross the crosswalk, then the light turns red and I drive under the set of lights.. These 2 bike cops came immediately after me... So long story short, it was my first time being pulled over, I took the seatbelts off, and I ran the red light because there was a guy pulling into a parking stop right in front of me and I was too worried looking around afraid I was going to hit a jaywalking tourists. I know people always think they're right, but I honestly think I didn't do anything wrong here. I got a $25 seat belt fine and a warning for running the red light, which is complete BS. I know it's a warning but I don't want it on my record at all, how can I appeal, any tips? I am looking for a starter car and currently think I might have found one. This summer when I come home from college I am planning on getting a summer job and my mom is allowing me to use her car. But I thought if I go a head and buy the car I found that I could save up my money from working to pay for insurance and gas. My only question is how much would my insurance payments be? I know you can get quotes online but can you get them for a car you do not have yet? If not, is there anyway to know?
